ABOUT ME AS AN ARTIST
My name is Rebecka Lingmerth Hellberg and I am the owner of the brand Unique things by Lingmerth. I live in beautiful Nacka strand, Sweden together with my husband Fredrik and our daughter Nicole. We enjoy it very much here with the proximity to the sea. I started my company for one reason only, my great love for art and design. The feeling I want to convey with the products I create is a feeling of joy and warmth. I therefore usually choose to paint in light pastel colors that go in blue and pink tones with a combination of gold and copper and pearl shades preferably mixed with lovely textures. That combo is usually unbeatable in my eyes!
My paintings are abstract and the feeling I want to convey is the proximity to the sea, nature and the well-being it gives me. Female motifs also often appear in my paintings, but then usually in the form of fashion illustrations and wearing the clothes I create. Here you can also find cushions, trays, glass coasters and cutting boards that fit nicely as decor for the modern home and the archipelago cabin. I am passionate about charity and try as often as possible to support WWF in their work to protect marine life from threats such as pollution, plastic waste, overfishing and climate change.
In 2008/2009 I started at an art school, Nyckelviksskolan in Lidingö - Stockholm. I learned several different techniques such as textiles, graphics, sculpture and art. I have also studied art for three semesters at Uppsala University in 2010/2011 on the art teacher program. I have had exhibitions in many places around Sweden and in April 2021 I exhibited my art at Art Expo New York, one of the world's largest fairs for modern art.
